Broadly, I am interested in the conservation of fish and their habitat. By studying various physiological limits of differing species, I have been able to better grasp how human interference causes an already complex relationship between a species and its environment to become even more unnecessarily entangled. Some relevant studies have been entrainment/louver, temperature preference, critical velocity, and respirometry experiments. Additionally, daily fish care and rearing of various fish species continue to provide invaluable insight on the ranges of habitat conditions required for the growth and survival of differing fish species.
