Facilities
We conduct experiments with California Bay-Delta fishes at several locations on the UC Davis campus. Our main laboratory consists of outdoor holding tanks, a traditional ‘wet lab’ and a molecular lab. We also utilize the CABA and J. Amorocho Hydraulics facilities for fish holding as well as for fish swimming experiments using our swimming flumes, fish screen interaction experiments, and behavioral experiments including the measurement of thermal preference.
J. Amorocho Hydraulics Laboratory
10' diameter tanks used in predation and behavioral experiments. Here, Striped Bass are used to assess the vulnerability of larval Green Sturgeon to predation.
