Position: Junior Specialist
Degree: B.S. Marine Science, minor in Environmental Studies, Eckerd College, 2013
Research Interests: Growing up on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay, the plight of the eastern oyster, blue crab, and striped bass in these waters dialed in my sense of urgency for conservation and fisheries management. My current research focuses on using biotelemetry as a tool to analyze movement and survival of juvenile Chinook salmon in the Sacramento-San Joaquin River delta in an effort to better inform fisheries management. I am interested in focusing research efforts in these heavily altered environments to further develop best management practices that are mutually beneficial to society and our fragile natural resources.
